The Future of Builder Grade Dishwashers is Here

This is a older thread and while it seems to be -bumped- as it's a recent thread, I'll chime in on even -uber deeziner- Dishwashers. While I appreciate the LED lights, and auto open door, etc on the new *uber high end* dishwashers, even the Miele Platinum level dishwasher, I would say about 5-6...

    LG Sidekick

We have a sink in our -finished laundry room - so it's not like I'm fetching water elsewhere. The bucket is a small 15qt bucket.....it's easy. Run faucet, bucket fills, just pour in the sidekick..... It's not -alot of extra work- With that said, one day I will get around to bridging the inlets...

    LG Sidekick

I do like my LG Sidekick for what it is..... Which was mainly the function of a pedestal (got it for a hot deal). And been using it for the grungy stage (chore dirty clothes, after washing the car and all the towels and such) Temps - I've just been filling a bucket with hot water from the...

    Bio Film on -New Washer-

Bio Film was maybe the wrong word. How about - ring around the collar- except it's just this -ring- you can only where the inner drum -curves- upward to ford the lip of the drum So since the last clean cycle, in which I could feel it was gone. 3 Washes today. Last cycle was hot, not FS. Again...

    Bio Film on -New Washer-

I know it's just more time to observe but here goes.... New LG FL washer. Did give it a normal wash cycle with some bleach on the 1st wash. About 16 cycles in (mix of hot water and *wifey* likes cold water with her delicates and darks) After a full day of laundry (2 Press, 1 Towel) , I just so...

    Shelf Life of Products

Just thinking outloud. I know for some ....products is like a hobby. I tend to just keep what I need and am able to roate them for a decent turnover time. However....there are things I have like a large bag of Citric Acid, this HUGE bag of Sodium Percarb, etc. A wild guess is the Sodium prefab...

Is the Sidekick capable of a -warm wash-

I need more time The Sidekick was part of a recent laundry purchase. Needed a pedestal anyhow and I got a great deal on the sidekick - which serves its purpose of raising up the machine anyhow. I did one load under normal. Just a 2 twin bedsheets. Water was mediocre borderline wam - I could...

LG Clean Cycle : Profile Parameters

For those in the know or may have tested and documented this, what is the wash/rinse profile parameters when using the - clean tub - cycle on the unit vs.a hot cycle like sanitary/allergine on the LG machines In my case, it's either going to be liquid Clorox, sodium percarb or citric on my...

Etching of Cladded Pots/Pans with current DW powders

For those contributing to this thread, just so we're all on the same page, the discussion is in regards to Stainless Steel CLAD pots/pans and the ~aluminum~ core. My Demeyere Atlantis pieces I generally handwash. But during heavy entertaining , I'm grabbing the pots and pans and in they go. I'm...

Etching of Cladded Pots/Pans with current DW powders

Has anyone noticed any ill effects on the alum (core) of your SS cookware with the new DW detergents. A recent blurb somewhere else has shown how the ALUM core is slowly ~minutely~ etching thinner/thinner from the core with the new DW powders. I'm still on phosphate Cascade so I don't have a...
