    Maytag DE806 parts needed

I guess I'll have to repurpose a different brush assembly from an alternator or motor. I wasn't sure just how difficult they were to aquire, apparently they're made of unobtainium. The joys of the hobby i suppose.

    Removal of a pulley

I'm not sure, but does it lock like a lock screw? If not, maybe try to gently tap it with a hammer and a drift pin. Hope this kind of helps

    Maytag DE806 parts needed

I'm looking for the brush assembly if anyone knows where to get one. My "new" dryer doesn't have any of the pieces for it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Also looking for the agitator cap, spring for under the bleach cup,and top tub foam seal for a Frigidaire WC 1-18, circa...

If I were closer, I'd get it in a heartbeat. Hopefully someone saves it from the scrap yard

    Hobart Kitchenaid KDS-20

Thank you very much, I've never seen the older dishwashers with cabinet facing on them, just the black, white, whatever colors from the factory. Was there any insulation behind the door panel, or was it just the panel on there? I was thinking about 1/8 inch metal with dynamat behind it

    Maytag HOH DE806

The motor should be a very simple fix, especially if you swap it with another maytag dryer motor. One bolt, two clamps and half a dozen color coded wires. I've removed mine a few times, very easy fix. Any competent motor repair place should be able to fix it fairly easily

    Hobart Kitchenaid KDS-20

Does anybody know where to get the front panels? Our "new" one has cabinet wood to match the seller's cabinets and we want to take it back to its former glory. How hard would it be to make?

1950's RCA Whirlpool Imperial Dryer model # 561872

Why yes, the motor can be rebuilt. The difficult part is finding a place that does that. About 20 years ago, the motor went on the air compressor. One place wanted to take it in trade because of what the motor is, 115/230 volt reversible heavy duty my grandfather got back in the day. I can't...

    Maytag DE406 questions

Very true combo, but with natural gas prices going up, I'd like to use electricity for a dryer. The added benefit is if something were to happen, you can still do laundry with a generator. I still have to oil the bushings and repaint the cabinet. I also need to procure the elbow that attaches to...

    Maytag DE406 questions

Thank you very much, LowEfficiency. I just want to test it, but I have played with the idea of having it 115v to mess with my electrician friend. I'm waiting for him to upgrade my service panel, getting the Square D QO panel for more 230v circuits. With the price of natural gas going up, we're...

    Frigidaire D100

Thank you, I believe it's from 75-76. It's nice to see something about it. I'm guessing it was a cheap apartment sized fridge. After I clean it and give it some fresh paint, it's going in the basement. All I need is a couch or futon and a TV, little mancave

    Frigidaire D100

Thanks goatfarmer, I thought it would be almost perfect for the basement. I'd still like to find a bigger one, but I'm liking this one

    Frigidaire D100

Does anybody have any information on these refrigerators? I picked one up for $35, it's cleaning up well, but it may need a door gasket. I'm hoping I can get it cleaned up, gotta love mold. I've googled and came up with nothing. All I can figure out is it's a 1975 GM Frigidaire that works like a...

    Maytag DE406 questions

So, I've got both belts replaced, new felt on the front of the drum and a new hi limit thermostat installed. I saw that you can test run the machine on 110v. How does that work and can anyone suggest advice on it. I've still got to repaint the cabinet, but too many irons in the fire
