hose diameter: @ kb0nes
Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I don't understand some of it! :) When you say, "A larger internal hose diameter has more surface area to have pressure against it. For a given wall thickness a smaller diameter will have a higher burst pressure" are you saying...
washing machine hose diameter
Thanks for all the responses. I would like to be able to turn off the faucets after each use but I have garden valves that require so much turning (besides the fact that the cold doesn't even completely shut off) and I was told by my plumber that it would cost many...
Fill Hose Size
I just did an online chat with the seller of the hoses above https://www.plumbmaster.com/wolverine-brass-ss-flex-wash-mach-sply-line-3-4hose-x-3-4hose-x-48/p/57644#review_tab_pdp
and was told that the inner diameter is only .27 inches. Does that sound hard to believe? I asked her...
Speed Queen top loader maintenance
Thanks for the responses.
A dehumidifier would be something I would consider a last resort. The buckets of water would be too much for me.
John L. : I have always used Tide. If there is a better detergent, please let me know. BTW, when you say "good"...
I was surprised that the manual for the TC5 and this website:
https://speedqueen.com/how-to-properly-care-for-your-top-load-washer/
do not mention running some sort of cleaning cycle every month or so which is recommended by so many other brands of washers. Do people do this anyway?
The webpage...
Fill Hose Size
Thanks John L.
My plumber put these on the washing machine:
https://www.plumbmaster.com/wolverine-brass-ss-flex-wash-mach-sply-line-3-4hose-x-3-4hose-x-48/p/57644#review_tab_pdp
so I assume that means they are 3/4" inside. The previous ones were labeled 1/2" and these seem...
From what I can tell looking online, although the TC5 doesn't come with fill hoses, the hose kit they "recommend" getting contain 3/8" diameter hoses. I recently put in 3/4" hoses for my old Whirlpool washer and wonder if I will have to replace them now that I hope to get a TC5. Does anyone know...
Cold Or Warm rinsing ?
Mostly thru contacting manufacturers of Tide and Persil and also either reading manuals of different washers or doing "chats" with the companies (I forget which one.)
Warm Water might Rinse a tiny bit better
Thanks, John. I hear what you are saying about the warm water rinse. Except for the summer months, on my current machine, when the rinse cycle starts, I move the dial back temporarily to the wash cycle to get a warmer rinse than I would get on the...
TC5000WN: changing temperature during the wash fill
I would like to double check that changing the selection on the water temperature knob during the first fill (for the wash) will change the temperature of the fill water to the new selection WITHOUT first draining the water from the machine...
TC5000 skipping to final spin
John: Thanks so much for responding. Of course he may be wrong, but after reading online that warm water rinses out detergent better than cold, I checked with a friend who is a chemist and he agrees that this is basically true. I need to replace a 20 year old...
TC5000 skipping to final spin
When I had asked the following question of SpeedQueen about their TC5: “Can I cancel the cycle as soon as the initial spin (the one after the wash cycle) is over and then start a new wash cycle to act in place of the rinse cycle?” I was told “No. There is a chance...
