I buy and sell. I keep vintage things as I find them. Current collection is a handful of Whirlpool direct-drive machines, a 1950s Western Holly Monterey gas range, a GE LB-52 fridge (think it dates to 1948,) and a 1969 Maytag CA206 washer.
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
Philco V-handle fridge, Kelvinator Food-o-Rama, Chambers range, Frigidaire Unimatic washer. Thats all so far.
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
I honestly never paid much attention to appliances growing up. It wasnt until I got into the appliance repair trade that they became a passion of mine. I started to lust after the older designs and seek them out.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
Everything I own at any given time is destined for the scrap Heap. I pick and choose what I want to rescue and breathe life into.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
Every day. Im an appliance technician for a living.
