What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
As a child, I was mezmorized by Washers and Dryers... Always curious about various models at friends homes, etc... Mother had a Maytag Wringer, then later a Whirlpool RCA top loader automatic; neighbors had a Maytag A806 which fascinated me even more and my curiousity continued to grow. I rebuilt the A806 of the neighbors at the age of 11 and gave it to my Grandmother who had a Norge Wringer. Loved watching all types of washers operate and was intrigued by the processes utilized. Friends of my parents had a GE Filter-flow set who allowed me to "wash" when visiting their home - a blast!

Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
Major rebuild of an A806 as a child (11 years old) - just figured it out and asked a repair shop in the area many questions - they "tolerated" my questions and actually encouraged me - (I was purchasing parts from them as well), but they were patient and very helpful. Havent rebuilt any since - only have done minor repairs.
