I live in a home that was custom built in the mid 60's and still have/use most of the appliances that were installed such as Sub-Zero fridge, Toastmaster warming draw, Chambers oven, Majestic charcoal BBQ pit and a Barday warming counter. I "collect" vintage kitchen appliances such as toasters, unusual coffee makers and whatever strikes my fancy.

What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
Earliest would be running across the kitchen just as my mom was removing my birthday cake from the oven. I tripped and fell on the oven door burning myself badly. Earliest...Deciding that I my diapers, in the laundry, weren't dirty enough so I climbed into the Maytag washer and "did my business"!!
What is the history of appliances you have owned?

Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
I do polish and clean but only do minor repair work. I wouldn't mind learning more about repair!
