went back last evening to check it and the "L" is gone now it only flashes the d0 when you press any button to start a cycle including holding down cancel. I think the door switch may be the issue I agree with you about the quality factor

I am as well, the only way I could imagine is powersurge if you hold down cancel button d0 appears and then it returns to a steady L could it be the wire for the lock on the door got disconnected and it can't sense that the door is locked? I will check when I get a chance to take it back apart...
