The rhythmic roaring of the dishwasher during afternoon naptime, and the detergent scent from the steam release of its drying cycle.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
My dishwasher was purchased by a widow in her 60s in 1982 for her new house. She lived alone and used it once a week for 36 years until she moved to assisted living this summer. It’s basically been preserved and maintained by this minimal regular operation and I bought locally it for $25. Aside from a bit of superficial rust on the motor and minor accrued “kitchen dirt” on the exterior, it was mint condition and still had the manual. Couldn’t have been luckier.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
Nope, but will learn to as my dishwasher demands it.
