What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
My parents 1951 Frigidaire WO65 and peoples reaction at the laundromat when a load of clothes washed in the Frigidaire dried in 10 minutes. My parents did not own a dryer until 1970.
In the early 50s seeing the neighbors with a Bendix front loader, a Bendix rubber tub, a General Electric washer and a 1949 Frigidaire WL60
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
1963 Frigidaire WCDA63-only recently junked before I discovered this club. Machine was running fine in Year 1998. Was told at parts store there were no parts available for such an old machine.
Outer tub was rusting away with leaks after each wash cycle. Ive also had a 1976 Frigidaire Skinny-mini in a walnut grain exterior finish which I acquired with the house. Couldnt believe Frigidaire would make such a terrible machine. On top of this the dryer ran on 110 volts.
