Whirlpool LSR8200EQ0 Intermittent Slow Spin/Burning Smell

I realize it's a little difficult to diagnose over the internet, but thanks for the help thus far! I tried getting the tub nut loose with regular tools, but it seems like it's on there pretty tight, so I've bought the spanner tool for it and will take it apart as soon as it shows up.

Whirlpool LSR8200EQ0 Intermittent Slow Spin/Burning Smell

It seems fine. Both the clutch and basket drive seem to be working. The clutch on the transmission wont move without some decent force by hand. Only thing I can possibly see is that there's still some resistance when trying to turn the basket when I push the cam (on the basket drive) all the...

Whirlpool LSR8200EQ0 Intermittent Slow Spin/Burning Smell

It is direct drive, yes. There's no belt. I pulled the agitator out of it, the driveblock looks fine (not rounded in so far as I can see from the top). I pulled the transmission out, and the friction material on both the clutch and basket drive look fine. I'm a little puzzled. Is there...

Whirlpool LSR8200EQ0 Intermittent Slow Spin/Burning Smell

Hi all. I have an older Whirlpool LSR8200EQ0 top load washer, it's developed a bit of an intermittent issue where the basket will sometimes spin slowly on the spin cycle and it emits a slight burning smell when this happens (it doesn't smell like electrical for sure). I'm thinking it's likely...

    Wiring Diagrams for Whirlpool Washers

High to Low Shift Chetlaham and DADoES, thanks for your replies. Upon further investigation, it appears as though this is indeed normal like you've said. I have an LSL9244EQ0 at home and it shifts like in the following video: (around the 13:38 mark from fast to slow agitate), so I guess I...

    Wiring Diagrams for Whirlpool Washers

Small Problem Ok, so the machine runs (and runs quite beautifully), with the exception of one small problem. When it goes from fast agitate to slow agitate during a cycle, it doesn't pause to change speed like my other machine does, but kind of "slams" into the slow agitate mode. Is there...

    Wiring Diagrams for Whirlpool Washers

Jeff, I cannot thank you enough! These schematics have answered so many questions and confirmed many of my suspicions. I really appreciate it! Chetlaham, clearly you've been in this situation before haha, and I agree, these repair manuals should be way easier to track down. I tried Google...

    Wiring Diagrams for Whirlpool Washers

Hi all. Does anyone know where I can find wiring diagrams for 1990+ Whirlpool washers? I'm looking for the wiring diagrams for model numbers LSR8200EQ0 and LLR9245BQ1, would like to see if retrofitting parts from one machine to another will work without having to do any rewiring. Let me know...

    Late 80s Whirlpool Dryer Parts

Perfect, thank you! Is there an alternate model number I can use, for a machine which might be similar in design, in case I need to look up part numbers in the future? I'm glad to see at least a couple of parts have numbers stamped on them, but others don't appear to.

    Late 80s Whirlpool Dryer Parts

Thanks for your reply! Here are some pictures of the machine. Also, are there any other parts that are likely to write this particular machine off if they did break or are major components (heater, fuses, motor, timer, etc.) still possible to find, or in some cases rebuild?

    Late 80s Whirlpool Dryer Parts

Hi all! I'm located in Ontario, Canada. I have a Whirlpool dryer that my parents purchased somewhere between 1987 and 1988 (1989 at very latest), model # WN-87681, serial # 9CK37805. The model label bears the Whirlpool logo, however the machine was produced by Inglis, as indicated in the fine...
