Speed Queen TL washer walks out when unbalanced

Thanks, guys. I thought about the leveling legs maybe being out of whack, but I checked with a level, and the top of the cabinet is level. DH is the one who started the load. He's kind of a hard one to teach, and I thought I had distributed the load better when I added the towels, but then it...

Speed Queen TL washer walks out when unbalanced

I'm looking for a) any suggestions on how to prevent unbalanced loads b) is there any way to prevent the washer from walking out away from the wall when it is unbalanced? We're not overloading the washer, this is something that happens sometimes when we wash the cotton floor mats from the...

Hmm. "Same features" should mean keeping the ability to override the water limitations, at least for 2015. If you think things are going to get bad in 2015, though, take a look at 2018 (see link). Taking my 3.3 cu ft top-loading AWN432 as an example, today's standards mandate minimum...

Speed Queen for Breast Cancer Awareness.

I looped a lanyard around the lid switch So it's not permanently bypassed, but it's easy for me to trigger it when I want to watch, without having to reach around behind the machine. I hang the other end of the lanyard on the water supply valve where I can see it and get to it easily. Rebeccah

New Speed Queen washer owner: leveling question

Funny you should mention that thread, I was just looking at it. That poster in that thread mentioned that his basket came back to centered position after a spin, and that it was off center while agitating. Mine seemed to be off all the time. But I hadn't even thought to see if I could move...

New Speed Queen washer owner: leveling question

Hi, I'm the brand new owner of a Speed Queen AWN432 washer. I've adjusted the max fill level to come up to just below the top row of holes (about 1" below the top of the basket), and I notice that even though the cabinet is level, the basket doesn't seem to be. The water comes up to the...

Can you tell me what Speed Queen model this is?

I've been looking for a used Speed Queen washer and found this one on Craig's List. The ad says the seller has had it for 3 years, which probably means they bought it used, too. Can any one tell from the photo, what model it is and how it compares to a modern 542, 432, or 412? Thanks...

    Kenmore 80 Series

Thanks for the link, Kenmoreguy. I think my agitator is actually working fine. I know I've stuck my hand in there and turned the top agitator, and one direction it turned the bottom agitator and the other way it didn't. But I will check again when I get home. Rebeccah

    Kenmore 80 Series

Thanks, appnut. We've been mostly using the permanent press cycle, but I don't know specifically what cycle was used for this blouse. And I pretty much always use the highest water setting, except sometimes when I have a really small load of one or two items. I've been thinking about...

    Kenmore 80 Series

And a shot of some of the damage This is a shot of the back of the blouse; in addition, there's a big hole above the bust dart in the front. You can see it's not a really fragile blouse, just normal medium-light weight cotton. Rebeccah

Shredmore - help? Maybe you guys can help... I actually have one of those Series 80 Kenmore Ultimate Fabric Care machines, and this month it earned the monikker "Shredmore", as it ruined one of my favorite blouses. I had found a white clothing article wedged underneath one of the agitator fins...
