What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
Watching the Maytag Man repair at our house. I remember being so interested in what he was doing, I tried to help. Thats when I first learned about electricity and metal tools...
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
The Magic Chef range was in the same family for all its life before I got it. When I asked why the lady wanted to give it up, she said Honey, Im over 80 years old. I think Ive earned a self cleaning oven..."

The Maytag E2LP is a wishlist find. This belonged to a customers ex-wifes aunt back on the East Coast. Upon her death, it made the journey to Nevada where it sat for many, many years in a barn. I found it by luck and it ran the first time with ZERO problems. Maytag could re-learn a great deal from this one.

The 641c was a VERY generous gift from a great friend. (Thanks, QSD-DAN!)

The CDE906 was a find I made during a service call. The little old lady who was her only owner gave her to me after I couldnt find a new part to fix it. I was able to later locate the part used and gave the dryer a very loving teardown and rebuild.

The Frigiaire Jetcone set was around 30 seconds away from death at a scrap yard when I pulled up to the pile and rescued them. They were very clean and worked first time with little or no issues. These are my first foray into the GM Frigidaire family.

The 1972 Maytag A806/DE806 set came from a very devoted Maytag owner after 37 years of service. As we delivered the new set, she was almost in tears about the old set going to the junkyard. She pleaded with my co-worker to find them a home with someone whod fix them and give them a loving home. He told her that he knew just the person. Yes, he did!

As far as the kitchen appliances, its a mish mash of ages but Im picky...
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
I am a Appliance Tech pushing 25 years in the field. Ive been factory service on all brands at one time or another. I also spent time on restoring classic gas ranges. All things mechanical mesmerize me and Ill tear ANYTHING apart just to learn. Sometimes, Ill post video on YouTube for those whove never seen them run.
