What is the history of appliances you have owned?
Dehumidifiers are a necessary evil. I got the Fantech which was made in Canada to replace a long line of awful made-in-China dehumidifiers. It works OK but still tends to go through a freeze-and-thaw cycle while operating. I aspire to invest in a more heavy-duty Santa Fe unit someday but they sure cost a lot of money!
