spiralactivator, Maytag is still producing the LAV model. I still sell a ton of them. I try to steer folks away from the cheap Performa-style & Atlantis. The new SAV models are built off the Amana line and seem ok, but they seem to have a seal problem right now.

Kaiser made dishwashers for a year or two Hi. Lurked here for a while & I finally signed up. In my collection I have a built-in dishwasher made by the Kaiser company (from about 1946-48). These were only sold through the Kaiser car dealers and so were a big flop.
