Thanks all
We're using residential machines. The washer is a top loader with electronic controls. We always wash on hot and dry on hot. We're using some kind of blue liquid detergent in 5 gallon buckets. I don't know what it's called, and it's hard to see the label.
Given the varied abilities...
Howdy folks,
I'm looking for a recommendation for laundry sanitizer for healthcare applications. I work at a short-term crisis center. We have our clients change into scrubs and wash their clothes for them. Some of the clothes people bring in are smelly, filthy. I'd like to sanitize the clothes...
Thank you
Robert,
I'll join the chorus of thanking you for all you've done, Robert. Participating in AW has been a rewarding experience. Wishing you the best in finding a future for AW when you retire.

Great picture
I love the picture of your monitor top. It looks like it must have looked straight off of the factory floor.
And, I agree about David. I'm using vintage fridges in my home renovation precisely because David lives in my neighborhood.

More Tide
WTF? Have y'all seen the advertisements for more Tide in Tide pods. The tagline is "you're gonna need more Tide." My first thought is what about the people who don't need more Tide--small loads, lightly soiled loads?
And for those of you with experience, how much detergent is the...
Thank you all
You've given me a lot of things to think about as well as some good questions to ask the HVAC pro when he comes to look at the house. I am very fortunate in having a trustworthy contractor if I go the mini split route. He's been teaching heating and cooling in our local jr...
Nifty
David,
Your videos are fascinating. You do a great job of explaining your process, and your work is always meticulously crafted. I remember the first video I saw and how excited I was to know you live in my neighborhood.

Ducted systems
I'm not considering ducted systems. There isn't enough room under the house, and it has a second floor, so there's no room for ceiling registers on the main floor. While it probably isn't the case with all houses, we are not happy with the results of retrofitting our current...
Reliability
I've heard similar stories.
I'm wondering if there are particular brands that have been more reliable or if they have improved in five years since your uncle installed his.
Sarah
So, I have planned to install three through the wall ac/heat pump units in the country house. Because of insurance issues mentioned in another thread, I am considering installing mini split systems instead.
Thoughts on one vs the other or either system? I'm looking for functionality and...
The jury is still out
We use an independent insurance broker, and she told us about the air conditioner thing. I've searched and gotten some similar results on the web. I have a friend who is an HVAC contractor/tech college instructor who says he's heard the same thing.
I have another...
Hi Everyone,
Have any of you who do not have central heat/air had trouble getting homeowner's insurance?
I'm planning to do three through the wall heat pump/air conditioners in the country house, but an agent just told me that "most insurers will not insure a house that does not have...
Buy now or wait?
I'm very interested in this unit. If I buy it, should I buy now or wait for later generations?
Are there other brands that I should also consider?

Height
I'm not sure we would have thought of wall oven plus cooktop if we hadn't moved into a house (1951, kitchen remodel slightly later) that had the wall ovens. Can't imagine bending down to access a range oven now.
