-If I did collect it would be a 1957 Westinghouse Laundromat washer and dryer set
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
-My moms 1959 1 cycle 2 water temp. hot and warm Hotpoint automatic washer which replaced a speed Queen wringer washer. My grandmothers 1958 washer/dryer combinaiton made by Kenmore. That thing was a Monster. It was replaced with a 1966 Westinghouse top-load washer with matching dryer. Now that was a nice set. My aunts 1953 Westinghouse laundromat FL washer which she nursed like a baby.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
-Maytag 512A FabricMatic Washer and matching 512G gas dryer which both died in Oct and Nov 2005 after 19.5 years of use. Replaced with GEs since Maytag has litterly gone to the toliet.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
-I use to fix minor things (Water valves, belts, water hoses etc.) on our Maytags and my Moms Maytags. At the time they were so much simpler to work on then these pieces of crap they sell today.
