Kenmore 900 Series Gas Dryer Power Connector Question

wait, but the flex hose replacement needs to fit... The flex hose we buy must fit the dryer. It needs a 5/8" female in order to do so. This is the sticking point. We even went to Banner Plumbing here in Chicagoland and they couldn't help us. Feeling deflated. Am I misunderstanding something?

Kenmore 900 Series Gas Dryer Power Connector Question

Hello! I recently acquired a beautiful 1969 Kenmore 900 Series washer and dryer set. We’ve got it nearly set to go, but are having problems with the gas line. We’re having a hell of a time finding the right size connector. We need a hose or a connector that has 5/8” female, and ideally 1/2”...

    Troubleshooting chrome Amana RR-10 1979

Hi, I just got lucky enough to find a 1979 wood laminate sided chrome Amana Radarange. It looks really clean but the numbers are acting weird and now the door isn’t closing right. I was hoping someone might guide me. I’m a mechanical idiot and a real newbie. I’m better off hiring someone if...

how to unhook digital display for GE P7 range

Hi, I have a seventies (?) GE P7, and the digital display keeps doing crazy things. Right now, all the lights are on and it's making a noisy alarm squeal like a timer is done. The rest of the stove/oven works, but we probably need to unhook the digital display. Can anyone help?

Our KitchenAid Hobart Superba kds 16 dishwasher 🙌

Hey, fellow vintage appliance enthusiasts! This month we’ve managed to replace our broken dishwasher and stove with vintage versions. Thanks to y’all’s consistent advice, we waited for a KA dishwasher to show up in our lives. Cost a little more than I’d have wanted to spend, but at half the...

Check out our GE P7 stove

Hi, folks! We’ve been in the process of slowly converting all our appliances to vintage versions. To that end, new-to-us General Electric P7 range/oven! It’s been a long slog with a lot of false starts and unexpected obstacles, but it finally worked out. It’s clean and operates like a dream

Looking to buy seventies-era dishwasher in good working condition Midwest/Illinois

I am getting a vintage microwave on Wednesday! Thanks to y’all’s advice, I searched for (and found) a 1987 Amanda Radarange microwave. It’s not one of the super hot looking chromed-out versions (I couldn’t find one of those locally, and the ones on eBay etc average around $200 plus HUGE amounts...

Looking to buy seventies-era dishwasher in good working condition Midwest/Illinois

Sorry, all! I’m here; kids have been home and I’ve been busy Hi! I’m busily making my way through y’all’s suggestions. Wow and thanks ever so much. Looking to buy seventies-era dishwasher in good working condition Midwest/Illinois

Thank you, that’s such useful and valuable information. I’m an avid appreciator of the aesthetic of sixties and seventies appliance design, but next to nothing about the relative practicality of various brands. I’ve seen some intriguing specimens crop up on marketplaces wildly outside my...
