Free 1966 Frigidaire electric range TURQUOISE

I originally posted this in late-April, but without a photo. Now including a photo and the info that Combo52 can change out a conventional thermostat for the "complicated" original one that's in there. Here's the info - First, 1966 Frigidaire electric range RCIE-39K. Color is turquoise...

Free 1966 Frigidaire range & dishwasher Lincoln, RI

Neither time nor expertise to work on these myself, so they're free to a good home. Hope someone can/will use them. First, 1966 Frigidaire electric range RCIE-39K. Color is turquoise. Beautiful. Condition is very good (my opinion). Top still cooks great. Oven probably needs a new thermostat...

Almost stellar 1966 Frigidaire range RCIE-39K

John L. - Thanks for all of that info. And apologies for not realizing until now that you had posted it. I had to pull the stove out of the kitchen to keep the kitchen functional, so it's not plugged in at the moment to test as you directed, but will do so and see what we get.

Almost stellar 1966 Frigidaire range RCIE-39K

Posted about possibly getting a 1966 Frigidaire dishwasher and matching range a few weeks back. We got 'em. Mostly fantastic. Still have to figure out the dishwasher, but have been using the range for a few weeks, and the cook top burners work great. The oven works ... too great. Thermostat...

    1966 Frigidaire dishwasher

Got 'em Thanks, Ron. Good to be here. Picked up the stove and dishwasher yesterday. No rain, fortunately. Stove cleaned up beautifully. Plugged it in. Cooked Chicken Cacciatore. Worked like a champ. Fantastic. Now we'll have a look at the dishwasher.

So do you use/like your Coppertone, Goatfarmer? (We've got goats, too.) I was wondering that, too, Tomturbomatic. We like to cook, and do, but tend to just use basic functions, and not self clean. And good point, steved. I can't bear the thought of getting something "new and stainless".

    1966 Frigidaire dishwasher

Thanks, all. For the suggestions, as well as the bad news about these not being good choices as primary appliances. Unfortunate. Is there a thread with opinions for the "best" choices for daily use appliances?

    1966 Frigidaire dishwasher

Greetings. New guy here. Found a 1966 Frigidaire DW-CIUK on CL, really good shape, and seriously considering. But ... press start and it runs momentarily, then stops. Thoughts? Also, there must be at least one thread about finding parts. Any guidance appreciated. Thanks...
