I would love the old original Hoover Keymatic
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
-My mums Hotpoint twintub, the one with the glass lid with red trim on the spinner and the rigid waste pipe that swings over the sink
When I was older I did all our laundry in the Hoovermatic de lux twin tub. The one with the auto rinse feature. Cool machine.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
I had a UK Hotpoint top load washer with time line control. Paid 10 quid for it from a second hand shop. Worked like a dream once I replaced the pump. Very foolishly dumped it to make room for my Zanussi IZ washer. I kept the spiraclean agitator and lint filter. I really wish I had kept it but lived in a flat so space was very limited back then. I also had a Hoover Washer Dryer, was a cool machine.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
Currently working to restore my GE filter and on the wringer washer. Imwantnto do a paint job on the GE, I have no idea how but will learn
