Fisher and Paykel washer combined heat pump drier

I paid $5,400 AUD which as of today is $3,703 USD. It is listed as over $6,000 AUD. It is the most expensive washer I have ever bought but it is an early Christmas present to myself. I do get the occasional pang of guilt for spending so much but hay ho.... I will get over it. One thing I am a...

Fisher and Paykel washer combined heat pump drier

The F&P Washer/Dryer arrived on Monday. It is a beast, had to take the door off to get it in to the laundry room. Only done 2 loads so far, wash and dry and very impressed. Huge massive drum. Touch Screen control panel is not very intuitive and have to keep referring to the online manual to...

Fisher and Paykel washer combined heat pump drier

TBH I dry everything in the dryer except sheets and underwear. Sheets don’t do well and just ball up and the elastic in underwear doesn’t do well in the dryer. It loses its elasticity.

Front loader or top loader machines?

This debate comes up fairly frequently. I have both FL and TL machines and I really like all of them but in my opinion, FL washers are superior in wash / rinse and spin results. Also they use soooo much less water. OK, they can take a long time to complete a cycle but that is a small sacrifice...

    The Maytag Atlantis

I have 2 LG FL washers, an old 1990s GE Filter flo and a Fisher and Paykel Smartdrive TL washer. I did have a smaller F&P TL washer that I got 2nd hand in 2004 which has just bitten the dust. Very sad. I will be taking delivery very soon of a Fisher and Paykel 18kg washer dryer combo. Very...

    The Maytag Atlantis

Here are the pair when they were hooked up a good few years ago. They are now languishing in our garage. I should probably sell them

    The Maytag Atlantis

I had and still have a Maytag Atlantis pair. Must be over 20 years old. I don’t have them hooked up anymore. Worst washing machine I have ever used. Washed and rinsed really badly and very noisy when running. The drier was pretty good but like all electric driers very expensive to run. I have a...

Fisher and Paykel washer combined heat pump drier

There is a very similar Samsung model here in Australia but doesn’t have the slanting control panel. Similar spec and cheaper. Just don’t like the look of it. Probably Haier too https://www.harveynorman.com.au/samsung-18-5-10kg-bespoke-ai-heat-pump-combo.html

Fisher and Paykel washer combined heat pump drier

So after weeks and weeks of deciding, I have taken the plunge and ordered the new Fisher and Paykel 18kg washer with 10kg combined drier. Not cheap but I really figured I deserved a new machine. Hope it will arrive in the next week or so...

Dishwashers losing popularity in US Homes???

I love my Fisher and Paykel double dish drawer. For just the two of us it works really well running smaller loads once or twice a day. Even on the quickly wash it gives great results. My biggest peeve is if I drop a spoon or something and it drops thru the rack it is difficult to retrieve...

New F&P 18/10kg combo for Australia

I really like the look of this washer dryer combo. Looking forward to the release. Sure it will be over $5000 au. Would be a shame if it does not spray water over the load during the wash and rinse phases. I feel this should be a standard feature on all new front load washers.

What are your thoughts on Asko washing machines

Just had a look at one in Harvey Norman. No rubber boot around the drum and no port to spray water over the load. Don’t think I will get one. Might stick to LG.

What are your thoughts on Asko washing machines

Thinking it is about time I brought a new washing machine. Been looking on line at Asko front loaders at Harvey Norman. Very expensive. They look very sleek. Real mix of reviews. Not sure if they spray water over the load during the cycle like LG machines do. Anyone have any experience of Asko?
