What are your dream machines yet to be found?
Maytag A700, Maytag Highlander Dryer, Kitchenaid KDS-14 or KDS-18. Beyond that, anything I can fiddle with and repair.
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
Washing mop-heads and rags with a Maytag a806 at the local hospital (high school job)... forgive us, we didnt know any better! The machine could take a beating!
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
Only recently inspired by this website, and a need to save old appliances from the landfill.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
Maytag a806 and DE808 full top-down restoration. As a scientist, my work is abstract with results often resulting in more questions. I find working on Maytag washers therapeutic... like a 3D puzzle. I often ask, what can I change/improve.
