    Servis Twintubs...

I didn't know the two knob machines were from as early as 1982. My mum at one point had the 111, never really liked the two knob machines, as you say, you can't have the wash pump running while washing. But the inner lid was a pain, alot of people took it off. What model number was the rare...

    Dettol/Lysol in laundry.

Lysol used to available here, and was only on sale in chemists, the same stuff you can get in the US, the brown concentrate stuff. My mum and nana used a very small amount in the last rinse, and I heard it was taken off the shelves because it caused skin cancer!!! I doubt it was that serious...

    Servis Twintubs...

I like all the three dial machines, it was just the late models I didn't like using, extremely noisy, with a an indipendant pump on the spin. Urgh. Love Lance's Mk2!

    Servis Twintubs...

Lancethecook has one of these machines. A dream to use, lovely roll over in the wash. One of the best Servis ever made. Worst machines were the 110, 111 and 115 Lasertwin. Urgh.

    Dettol/Lysol in laundry.

We don't have that here. But I wish Dettol would produce their own washing powder, with the original scent. I use regular Dettol, love the smell and of course, laundry is ultra clean.

    Dettol/Lysol in laundry.

Is it just me, or does anyone else put Dettol (or the now discontinued Lysol in the UK) into their last rinse? I always have done.

Just a quick clip of the HPTL.

I'm not very good with doing vid clips, but I thought I would put one up of my "new" Hotpoint top loader, which I aquired from the lovely Mr Lancethecook, who is a charming, funny, and no nonsense fella. Was round a week ago, didn't have time to take pics or vids, was busy playing with washers...

    Re-using water for multiple loads?

If everything is rinsed properly, whats the problem?! In my Hoovermatic I do four or five loads in the first tub full from 85c whites, through to light coloureds, adding a bit of cold water after each sudsreturn. Always change water though to go onto deep coloureds and darks and jeans, and...

    Different brand "badges".........ie Wilkins Servis

Just found an old Surf powder advert, and there are many Uk washers which are under a different name in the commercial.

English electric wringer washer , pump trouble

Nice machine Lance!!! As for the pump, I haven't a clue, but there should be a way somehow. Yes guys, I will second the comment on the kitchen, very very nice indeed! Lovely and warm and cosy. Actually, the garage is quite a nice space to work, some fab machines too!! Nice to see you put the...
