Nice Little Hoover ... Up North !

Just saw this Kijiji ad, while browsing : Hoover tt (model ?) on offer... Appears to need repairs. Interesting, nonetheless ! https://www.kijiji.ca/v-washer-dryer/regina/hoover-dual-tub-washer/1662904734

    Nice Twin-Tub Up North

Pas d'essoreuse ! Eh, non... Electric spin dryers just came afterwards (the good old wringer washers once were the norm). Even at the heights of the twin tub era (late 60s, early 70s?) there were still some people who bought and used various sorts of wringer wash machines, sometimes with an...

    Nice Twin-Tub Up North

Interesting, Launderess, vintage japanese Hitachi tt, most probably early 1980s ... More plastic here than its forerunner "siblings" of the early-mid '70s. Saw one almost exactly like that for sale on Kijiji (here in Qc) a few weeks ago. My grand ma had the earlier model, PS310P (more metal...

    Never Use "EasyShip.com"!

Sorry to hear this Blackstone (Fred) One of the "horror" stories one hears from people who just want a good service, pay for it and expect some results at the end. Too bad for the seemingly lost device. I have heard about, myself, lost or damaged - in some cases heavily damaged - things...

Up North! Vintage Pink Kenmore Wringer Washer

Exciting discovery ... ...Launderess. Sooo immensely interesting. Btw, quite right what you say about post WWII machines. Never seen one quite like this B4. ...A beauty. Really really retro vintage whatever we call it that's some superb collectible which i will pass my turn because i have a...

    Simi automatic Hoover Model W1003

Hoover Michael (aka Maytagmike), I didnt know ... ... that Hoover did make such small washers, even smaller than their well-known portable twinnies ! Yes, how cool that is. Great vintage. Pretty sure that one you have was manufactured in North Canton. 1960s? Jean

    Penncrest washer

Checked back and found that it seems more to be Sanyo (or, possibly, Toshiba) rather than Hitachi... I did find another reference to an early 70's Hitachi which do not match with the Penncrest model seen on the pictures. I include pictures of the only two known models of Hitachi TT sold back...

    Penncrest washer

Yes nice machine ... ...And, it's a Sanyo ! Retrieved two pics off the web page: model is from Japan (ref pic). 99% sure it was made by Sanyo, early to mid-1970s, most probably. Rebadged and sold in North America, just like an Kenmore twinnie equally made in Japan by Sanyo at about the same...

    Happy Maytag Month!

MAYtag ! Interesting thread, UltraWash (Xavier) ! Gorgeous set, indeed, Sean... ...And that wringer from Launderess, that is just a plain 'wow'! Beautiful machines in both cases. I notice that even the green (avocado) color of the wall matches that of the Maytag set. May, of course, is also...

Dear Alistair (vacbear58) thank you for identifying the brand and model of that washer. You seem to have quite a pretty good knowledge of those, since the guys who made the vid didn't even show us the money shots regarding the poor lonesome machine ! lol (i share an image of such model with...
