I have a normal boring but wonderfully functioning washer, dryer, fridge, and freezer.
The appliances Im in love with are:
1957 Canary Yellow GE J-304 that works! except for the large Automatic calrod burner.
1960 Pink GE J-304, with a broken oven :(
Im looking for a new pushbutton switch for it.

Turquoise 1960 Frigidaire electric range, 30 inch wide the Pull N Clean oven with those doors!! swoon!
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
Its funny, I dont remember noticing any appliances until in my early 20s. At a thrift shop I saw a pink stove with pushbutton controls and it was love at first sight. I bought it for $40!
After that I found a vintage yellow fridge, but I didnt keep it after college, and will always regret that. No photos of it, either.

Ive had my pink GE since late 80s, and found it at a thrift shop in the Denver area.
When my beloved pink lady died in fall of 2020, I told my husband there was no way I would buy a new stove. I said lets just store a toaster oven inside our old oven!
But after months of searching online, I found a stove that made my heart flutter again. Unfortunately it was on the other side of the country!!!
But after a day of many phone calls found a way to get it delivered, so now I have another GE J-403 <3
I bought it from a guy who was selling his house and moving in with his fiance; it came with his house when he moved in 20 years earlier. He kept it in fantastic condition!
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?

Ive had repairmen try to fix my pink stove several times.
Hoping to fix the fluorescent light on my yellow GE this week, with a new switch!
