Unfortunately, I do not have an appliance collection, but have very fond childhood memories of sitting in front of a front loading washer, enjoying the suds running down the glass. I did this as a child at home, and at Grandma's, in my 20's when Granny gave me her old Westinghouse, and sadly, I do not have a front loader at this time, so I rely on youtube videos to make me smile.
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
1955 Westinghouse Laundromat.
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
I already posted them, but I remember as a child going into our basement and sitting on a chair in front of the frontloading washer for hours on end, just enjoying the relaxing suds. I have wanted a washer like that one for 38 years.
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
I don't own anything vintage. I have a very non-interesting top load washer, that is impossible to watch. I had a Westinghouse that my Grandma gave me when I was in my early 20's, but unfortunately it broke and probably ended up in a scrapyard somewhere.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
