What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
My mothers circa 1981 Wards by Norge washer & dryer, the dryer didnt dry, it cooked, and the washer never balenced on spin. Ill always remember the washers burpilator lint filter into which water was sprayed in a circle out of the agitator on each stroke. Even though the machines were donated to the Salvation Army in 1994, I still remember the clunk that the washer always made after starting to agitate. I miss that washer.

The MW/Norge pair was replaced with a Kenmore 80 series set in Jan. 1994. THE best washer and dryer we ever had. My folks just donated the washer during a kitchen remodel and replaced the pair with GE (they will probably regret that).
What is the history of appliances you have owned?
My grandparents were married in June 1945 and after civilian production started again, my grandmother was given a Hamilton Beach Model G Stand mixer, a Heatmaster sandwich grill, and a Dominion waffle iron. She gave me these appliances in 2005 when got my apartment. She still uses a 1978-ish GE filter-flo and a 1985? Kenmore gas dryer.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
Clutch replacement, motor replacement, and motor relay replacement, belt replacement, and boot replacement in a GE Filter Flo, changing belts and injectors on Maytags, rebuilding a Kenmore 29" dryer with the top-mounted lint filter.
Fans, bicycles, original Nintendo game systems, my Volvo, some Western Electric telephones, and whatever else needs my attention. I also built a replica of a late teens candlestick telephone from parts.
