    Sub Zero Freezer Door Gasket

The two that I'm seeing are one number off - 701 0574, not 0564. They're for a side-by-side model. Mine is top over bottom.

    Sub Zero Freezer Door Gasket

Hmm... Not finding them when I search for 7010564. Do you have links?

    Sub Zero Freezer Door Gasket

Hi, my Sub Zero freezer door gasket is shot. I have a good Sub Zero specialist here in New York that's been helpful in maintaining the fridge, but they just installed their last 211 freezer gasket and don't have another one to put in mine and they tell me they're not made anymore. I know there...

    Settled on a new range!

Alas, my kitchen doesn't have 220 power, it's an old building and my contractor doubts they have the power available to equip the apartment with 220 without blowing a circuit breaker in the basement and it would require tearing up more of the kitchen and apartment to run the wiring, so electric...

    Settled on a new range!

I'm glad to hear about the continuous cleaning oven! I agree about the pilots. I wish it was electronic ignition. The one I have now has 4 pilots, so I'm used to it. I'll take the advice about the stovetop to heart and make sure I have spoon rests and wipe it down.

    Settled on a new range!

I bought a new range for my kitchen refresh and I'm pleased with the purchase. It's a Kenmore from 1974 and it was never installed, so it's brand new (for the most part). It's a drop-in gas range in stainless steel with a black glass door - very sophisticated looking. I drove it down from Boston...

Looking at this stove to add to my kitchen

Good eyes on the 1981. I found it in the Sears catalog!

Looking at this stove to add to my kitchen

Thank you all for your advice and input. I really appreciate it. I think I'm going to go ahead and get it (providing it's still available). It's a standard enough size that I can swap it out for another one if it fails on me or proves to be unreliable.

Looking at this stove to add to my kitchen

Good advice about the Sears catalog. Those are great resources. Don't need to do that for the model number though - I've attached a picture of the manual which they have. It's a Roper model number 1899. I've also included a higher resolution image of the unit. As of right now, the microwave...

Looking at this stove to add to my kitchen

So the lower oven door hinge on my Tappan Fabulous 400 has snapped off. That, along with the fact that it always smells like gas in my apartment and that it's a 50's/60's stove and my kitchen is more 70's has made me ready to move on. I'm looking at this Roper gas oven and stove with a...

*Sigh* More problems with my dishwasher...

There's nothing caught, so it seems like the motor is siezed. That sounds like a good solution. I will see if I can disentangle the motor and pull it out to examine more closely. Do you want to email me directly about a replacement? I can provide my email address. Thanks...

*Sigh* More problems with my dishwasher...

Well, I took the parts off (pic #1) and the round thing sticking up (pic #2) doesn't turn at all. Jammed...

*Sigh* More problems with my dishwasher...

Here are a couple of pictures... It doesn't look like there's been leaking into the motor to me. I took the wash arm off. Do I unscrew the screws on the round thing sticking up or on the plate the round thing is attached to?

*Sigh* More problems with my dishwasher...

I'm considering my other options if I can't get this fixed or fix it myself. I've been looking for another machine like it, but they're not so easy to find. This one was in a rental apartment and the tenant rarely used it, so it was in very good shape. I've been using it for 10 years now, so...

*Sigh* More problems with my dishwasher...

Thank you for your responses... So if I were to look into the problem, should I open up the lower front panel or go inside the machine and open up the bottom?
