late 50s or 1960 Speed Queen Automatic.
What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
I can remember my aunt washing in her N2LP Maytag Wringer Washer. I was so young that I had to stand on my tippy-toes to peek into it. That day she was washing the whites. Upon lifting the lid, I could remember the steam escaping, the scent of Tide with a subtle hint of bleach. The best part of this was the gentle hum of the motor as the clothes tumbled in the tub.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?
I have successfully refurbished my Grandmothers swamp cooler that dates to the 60s.
