Well ...it does CONTROL the functions of the appliance. I went through all the troubleshooting steps to reset the machine, then checked/cleaned all hoses before replacing the control board.
 
By no means a reflection on you personally. The bulletin suggests checks to perform first, which you did. But unfortunately I have had customers report that a tech diagnosed ‘control board’ without so much as taking a screwdriver out of their bag. Cheers!
