You don’t need to remove the motor, just need a picture of the motor start switch on the bottom of the new motor. You can just lay the machine over to get it in order to advise. What terminal is the wires go on? I’m sure the orange wire that is now on the capacitor does not go there that goes directly on the start switch of the replacement motor as it did on the start switch of the original motor that’s the low speed winding power feed

OK, dug out the spare motor and took it for a test spin: terminals on right side of switch: W-common, BK- high speed, OR- low speed. LH side of stationary switch: BU-capacitor, V-purple wire into motor. Spare motor ran great and is avalible if needed.

Just noticed the lead wire colors on original GE motor will match the Emerson :) Correction to note above: BU-blue,right side is high speed,BK-black, left side goes to capacitor...

Hello, appreciate the follow up. I am trying to follow you. I have a white, blue, and orange wire from original motor. Where should I plug each color into? I currently have each color plugged into the closest corresponding color and it isn’t working.

OK, test motor sitting here- right side of stationary switch,3 terminals:Blue from washer connect to BU.White to W. Orange to OR. Left side of stationary switch: black jumper wire connected to capacitor connects to BK.Red wire on other side of capacitor goes into motor winding.Violet wire from motor winding connects to V terminal. In reply#33 pics, looks like the black jumper wire to capacitor may be missing.
