Well, we're going to have to agree to disagree. Studies can be rigged to say anything, destination science and agnotology are a very real thing. No matter what unprocessed red meat is essential for human health and brain development.

The hotplate is in the cabinet. It is taking a vacation and doing well. We both agreed that the element was uneven and it was not the revere ware pot that was at fault for the glowing red heating element. The GE stove is the worst thing ever because the elements on it burn out every 8 years and can not easily be replaced. Good elements should last at least 20 years with daily use and be able to be easily replaced.

If space allowed I'd have a Garland Stove and a Henny Penney pressure fryer. Though a Henney Penney fryer is impractical for single meal applications as much as Love its performance.

Cavemen did not live long due to the lack of plumbing and good food preservation. Disease was rampant and there was no knowledge of bacteria.
There was also that apex predator thing to deal with...

The chicken burgers with honey mustard sound like a good combination. I do use honey mustard when I have chicken fingers.

I went to a picnic tonight, but no hamburgers, just brats, metts, and turkey sausage. We had it at a shelter in the park we hike in frequently. Unfortunately we had to contend with two dogs - Pit Bulls - that were hanging around the picnic area. They weren't too bad at first, but they tried to get our food when we put it out. We packed everything up, and moved to another picnic area about a half mile away. We were afraid they might try to eat us, too. One lady tried calling the dog warden, but the office was already closed.

Whole foods BBQ sauces are still IMO better than all those made to look fancy high fructose corn syrup BBQ sauce at your average grocery chain.

The Lo Mein comes in a frozen bag with minimal additives and no bad preservatives.

And of course, unprocessed meat which is key to good health.

I do like unprocessed meat. In the past, a good friend's father-in-law raised beef. In the pasture type, they were then put up in the barn about 30 days before slaughter and fed corn. When I was at a friend's house and that beef was on the dinner plate, that was some prime eating.

I did burgers again. Though this time I cheated, I opted for Doritos instead of French Fries. Desert was chocolate chip mini muffins with vanilla pudding.

Burgers are cooked on both sides, then cut in half and grilled on the internal side. I use a cast iron pan which gets HOT and gives great drill marks. Beef is 80/20 but made of good fresh cuts of premium beef.

How thick are your burgers so you can horizontally cut them for the interior cooking? I love cooking with cast iron.
