    I can see your Norge!

More Norge This is cool stuff! I do wish someone had pics of a 1960 Norge as that's what my dad bought to replace our awesome(in retrospect) '55 Whirlpool. He bought a near tol pair. I was leaning, with my elbows,on the half down 'load-a-door,'looking inside our new gems. Suddenly the door...

    What If WE Made 'Em!

With the love we have for machines done right,I was wondering today about making a washer of our OWN. Good capacity, balance, sounds, some chrome,NO electronic boards, proper water levels, etc. Front/top/slant,even Staber/Euro style.Whatever seems best. Called something like "Overbuilt" because it...

    BD Kenmore Pair in Atlanta

Me too I had a very similar set when I got married in 1981. My dad bought 'em for us. I don't remember much about the machines, which surprises me 'cause I loves me some BD's!

    oh my gosh

my fanny Well, actually OUR FANny. That big gray thing with the 3 square 'shovel' fan blades. When I was a kid,my dad put one just like it exhausting out a basement window. With the upstairs windows open, that thing would draw a pretty good breeze in. Had a very serious, low speed,'chopping' the...

    Almost Can't Visit Here

At 55,I guess my sensitive side is really kicking in. I see washers/dryers here like those my parents had; the '55('56?) Whirlpools,'63 Frigidaires,'67 Lady Kenmores('900'). I operated the Frigidaires & Lady Kenmores.(Made my dad BUY the Lady Kenmores!) ANYWAY,these & nearly ALL the '55-'78 or...

Speed Queen Dryer Lint (exhaust) problem. HELP!

? I thought MAX reccommened exhaust length used to be about 12'. My '96 Kenmore (door screen) gets a level of lint/fuzz similar to yours in fairly short order. Try leaving the build-up alone & see if it doesn't just stay like that & no more. I WOULD seal around the filter contact area.

    People are so stupid

I copy I think this tip is found originally in the 'health care' bill. It's in the ''green''section stating ''if you do anything the RIGHT way,you will be taxed at least 25%''. I could be wrong. 8-)

    Interesting Whirlpool Video

rush rush ''We had to get this done in 2 years''. BS! ENGINEER the f'n things to last a minimum of 5 years with normal use. If it takes 2 1/2+ years, then so be it! Build 'em to a QUALITY spec, not a time-frame spec. Oh,well, everything is f'd up,may as well build way overpriced/garbage appliances...

    Whirlpool's new lid lock...

another reason We have a 14 year old 90 series pair that still looks and operates as new. Slightly different as ours has only the 2nd rinse opt on the middle knob. I'm sure you guys are correct about 'non-authorized use' being the reason for the nasty lock. Or maybe the owner had bozo young-ins...

Speed Queen washer AWN311 water level

Bit of a snag... Went back to appliance store to pick a water filter ($63.99!)I'd ordered for our GE(came w/house)'side by each' fridge. Looked in the SQ tub. MAN,they sure don't give a damn how their stainless panels come together! Instead of butting-up-to on the main side tub seam,SQ overlaps...
