Anyone bought a Speed Queen lately?

whirlcool You are correct it's TSP that Home Depot and Lowes sells. The STPP, I have, was ordered from soapgoods.com. Thanks for catching that mistake. Allen

Anyone bought a Speed Queen lately?

Agree with washman 100% I bought my set in 2012. Before I washed clothes in it, I did an empty wash with hot water, 2 cups of Tide detergent and 2 cups of STPP. After the washer was through, there was no greasy film on the tub. It is the best washer out there. My 64 year old Mother was so...

    Built better to last longer......................

Thanks washman I have enjoyed reading a lot of your post. You and I think alike, when it comes to all this "eco fad" stuff. Most of us, as children, were taught not to be wasteful, but there's a difference between wastefulness and plain common sense. Wasteful example: You don't leave the...

    Built better to last longer......................

Love Speed Queen Top Loaders Long Live Speed Queen!!! Love my Speed Queen Top Loader! I have the AWN542 Washer and the ADE4BR Dryer. You can keep all the HE machines you want, but I will never buy them. I built a good energy efficient 1600 sq/ft new house in 2010, with new energy saving...

    GE Potscrubber 1200

Bob, I enjoyed reading about your GSD1200. My parents bought a house in 1975, when I was 5 years old. This house was located at 1902 Randy Court in Huntsville Alabama. It was a 1967 Dutch Colonial two story house with neat appliances. The dishwasher was a 1967 Lady Kenmore Roto-Rack in...

    GE Potscrubber 1200

Hi David, That KitchenAid was a once in a lifetime deal. I can't understand why anyone would buy something like that and never use it. You would think that he could have returned it and gotten his money back. You should have seen my face, when I saw it for the first time. He was asking $75.00...

    GE Potscrubber 1200

Gordon, Thanks for the link. I'll try the supersearcholator. Sounds like the blue racks were in the 1980's. So, I would think that my unit could be anywhere starting at 1984 and ending around 1990. Allen

    GE Potscrubber 1200

whirlcool I was shocked at how new it looked, including the motor area. I can't wait to get this dishwasher installed. I hate the new dishwashers that take forever to clean and clean crappy. This dishwasher is being installed in my house, that was built in 2010. I gave away my new TT...

    GE Potscrubber 1200

Yogitunes Thanks for the information. I had heard that the 1200, 2800, 2200, etc. came out in 1984. I have seen a GSD1200G, GSD1200L, and GSD1200S. I assume the GSD1200T came after the GSD1200S. The letters must have been revisions of the 1200 model.

    GE Potscrubber 1200

Hi, I bought a GE Potscrubber 1200 at the ReStore. Could some one tell me when this dishwasher was manufactured? Model # GSD1200T-02 Serial # SR701156B I called GE and the guy told me it was manufactured in 1998. I thought the "Alice Blue" colored racks were from the 1980's. I wondered if...
