I have a newish 2013 ge hydrowave with no lid lock/ although it is not one the washers that will fill to the top of the basket. My mother has a 2011 with same feature set. I was worried about what seemed like poor quality on the new line of washers.I mean my hydrowave basket swings all crazy...

The best you could do is maybe some RF modulators hooked up to different dtv boxes, that would be big bucks though.

I always thought that whirlpool might have been a bit loose. Thats one thing I love about them, very simple no fuss washers. To the OP I would not worry about the whirlpool, and happy washing!

Thanks for this thread, I have started using an 87 Whirpool Dryer and was kind of stuned to see the timer move when the dryer is off. I normally preset the drying cycle on the dryer when loading the washer, it spooked me to see timer move with dryer off.

GE Hydrowave I have a 2012 ge hydrowave, mums got a 2011 they both wash well, are whisper quiet on wash and rinse and the hot water wash is a lot hotter then some other brands will allow. Pro's No lid lock Water gets up to 135f ish when hot water is used Good cleaning No issues with balance...

Re: the wringer I have seen that same wringer washer at two local speed queen dealers in new england. I think it is some kind of dummy /demo display speedqueen sends the dealers. Andy

I hope they work the kinks out, or have they already removed the overflow protector that makes folks will well water/ low water pressure unable to use the the new belt drives?

It should if you set the timer just before the drain, it might be kind of hard to find at first. -Andy

The GE Hydrowave are a nice washer, if GE is used that same technology and tweaks it for the new washers they might just have a big hit. The only thing is how reliable will any GE product be? -Andy
