    Recommended Laundry Detergent and additives

I don't have any long term experience but have been using SAMs liquid detergent and about a tsp of TSPP with a half a cup or so of baking soda in our TL has been working really well. No scent leftover, hubby doesn't like flavors of the nose 😉. We have pretty hard water here and I can't attest...

    National Homes

What an awesome history of home life 😉 I built houses for a huge company in Houston for a while in 2001. I watched the second plane hit the twin towers live while pouring a slab on I think my second house, I had just started. The foundation foreman had a tv in his truck and called me Over to...

A gorgeous new Whirlpool is coming my way!

Congrats on an awesome new machine 😍 that's interesting to think about longer wash times on new machines to work better with new detergents. I notice that in things progressing together. I wonder how our early 90s frigidaire is liking new detergents. It cleans well enough though. A switch for...

    Making a Roast Pork Loin

I just found one of those pork roasts at Krogers too. It had a teriyaki sauce it was marinating in in the bag. 30 min in a hot oven then 10 min wrapped in the foil on the counter. Excellent! Ate the last piece I had frozen tonight

Ok what about early 60s , dare I dream?!, NIB, GE or Kenmore or frigidaire washer dryer set? Matching, in white or dream of dreams turquoise close enough to pick up. Pretty much anywhere within 8 or so hours of south Louisiana. Price no object. How much could one charge anyway ;)

    Make Model Mileage may vary

I thought the same thing :o it was like the older better quality insides and the later clunky control panel..main thing is it works fantastic.

    Make Model Mileage may vary

So I (re)found this washer dryer set in the barn for the apartment at my parents place (it's complicated) 😋 and after I scrubbed the muddy paw prints and other detritus off of it, I ran a load of work clothes in it and fell in love with it! It works really well, I didn't think it would be so...

    18" dishwasher Kenmore

So I was at Sears checking out the new Maytag FL washers and saw an 18" dishwasher. It was portable, idk if they make a per ant mount. I didn't get a pic but it was cool. Would be the perfect size for us.

Speed Queen I love you but...

Fixed it! Apparently somebody left off the bearing cover thing that covered the dogs and let them get chewed up easier it seemed.

    for front load experts:

I have to add, my LG fl did an amazing job cleaning everything. No wear, no smells, just really well cleaned clothes of every kind. Key to success, use the proper settings, load amount and detergent. Take the clothes out directly, And always leave the door open . Nada problems.
