Speed Queen I love you but...

Yea I need to see if I can find the repair kit. It was wearing on the clothes the same though with or without the upper vanes moving. The bottom seems to have a bit of roughness to their edges. They weren't raised right ;)

Speed Queen I love you but...

Here's a vid of a small load on delicate. I use a little unflavored All and a drop of leftover watered down MM ultimate clean with a tsp of STPP. The upper vanes move with the lower but it's really the only way to get anything bigger than a small load moved down through the water. Obv it doesn't...

Speed Queen I love you but...

So finally got a chance to stop in Morris Maytag in Lake Charles today and inquire about a pair of Speed Queen FL. $3000! Yikes. I made the decision that that's what I was going to get but, it may be a while now. The problem is the 1990 BOL Whirlpool we have is destroying my clothes! The spiral...

POPPY color Vintage Fridgadaire Electric Stove - $100 (Windsor Heights)

I agree. The cafeteria at USL where I went to school in Lafayette had red neon lighting. I always said that was the most unappealing color to have associated with food and have always avoided it as a color in a dining room or kitchen.

    Volksgate: The Volkswagen 'scandal'

Truly excellent replies and points hydralique and kb0nes. I agree completely. When they cut costs they are ruthless. But what they do well is brilliant. And one of the most important aspects of their driving dynamics, grabbing onto the road and hunkering down into it, is unmatched and what keeps...

    Terminology 101: Stove vs Range

They called this a "stove" at work go figure. The bottom door is for the small refrigerator. Apparently there was a cooktop that sat on the shelf for heating soups and what not. Probably some open element super dangerous device. Of course none of it works and it's just taking up space but at...

    Nice Nutone

These are the pieces I have. There's a meat grinder seemingly unused but it does have some oil leakage. And the mixer with bowl. I can't seem to get it to work but haven't tried too hard. Someone was interested in it but I can't see the rest of the thread. Let me know and we'll strike an awesome...

    Nice Nutone

Hey, well the mixer needs work, it seems to be locked up. I have the knife sharpener too. I'm keeping the blender though. The mixer has 2 bowls I think. I'm going to have to find it now, we had a garage sale yesterday that I was not head of and I don't think I've seen it since.. I'll look again...

    Nice Nutone

The mixmaster gets jealous if I use the nutone mixer. And it's got beefy biceps and a hairy chest compared to that twink nutone so best not get him riled up!

    Nice Nutone

I have the whole set plus publications. I may sell it to someone who will use it or at least show it. I do have the gold mixer bowl new in box also came with the house. I'm going to try and use it

    bought a jukebox :)

This was our 'entertainment center' growing up. A '59 Wurlitzer. Thanks internet for helping me pin point it! I lost the keys to it at some point and my dad never let me forget it! My uncle had a 1961 or so Seeburg. Hard to think they would change models so massively every year or so, same...
