what would be your dream vintage dishwasher to own in 2025

I guess the roto-rack Lady Kenmore that I made a small dresser/end table with only a top drawer which actually held the dishes... Until I taped a cardboard door to the bottom to do the actual washing in but it didn't have racks inside it, mocked-up like... Than maybe replace with the Sears...

When did Maytag start to go bad?

Aaaahhh, when Maytag started being GOOD...! But how come it lost its HALO as in Halo of Heat? Would it be possible to make a dryer like that today, with the heating element going all-around its drum? Anyway, with the way I did my best to draw old GE's & Whirlpool's with my artistry skills...

When did Whirlpool start go to bad?

Yes Glen, that's true...   Maybe I'm just noticing how much older the ones are getting with the handles and control panels that I most like...       -- Dave

When did Whirlpool start go to bad?

Well to me, a cheapening of could have happened during the time plastic handles replaced the metal ones, and the machines were no longer offered with independent speed selections or even separate wash and rinse temperatures...       -- Dave

Seven-Segment LED, colors that seem to be in and out of fashion

TI was always ahead of any "its time", including the LCD, then LED calculator, and seemed to have headed the longest-put out RED L'ED's...   And maybe by a few years before other manufacturers and their colors and mass-produced 7-segments became prominent when they came out...       --...

    GE Presents: Quiet Trash - 1969 - 16mm Film

Well Corey, thank you for that video...   Best "talking trash" that I have ever seen...   And surely the brand of compactor I would have bought if I needed one and had my own home (though I was very too young too have) that many years ago...       -- Dave [this post was last edited...

    LadyK dryer

I also belong to that Facebook Vintage Washer (& other appliance) group there, myself...   Isn't that color just a variant of Tawny Gold? Wish there could also be the water in that same color there, too...   Someone better save that dryer before that plastic venting, it's blowing through...

Has anyone here ever heard of? Happen to have a Facebook friend whose last name is Ward & he is actually in a photo by a gas station bearing his name, WARD...   Surely along with this making me wonder if it is in Montgomery Ward had they stayed around longer and went even more of a...

    Dishwasher Pre Wash

Well, here, I added the parts for my coffee grinder and reconfigured everything so the pepto bismol pink mix which was a cherry pancake mix would be perfectly washed out of that mixing bowl... And everything without any prerinsing came out exceptionally well, otherthan only needing to get rid...

    Dishwasher Pre Wash

Well I tried hard to find a place for my long over-due exception that if you prewash and/or prerinse your dishes, flatware, drinkware or any other utensils, they might as well not go in your dishwasher...   And that is my brewing parts that go in my coffee pot, when my ground coffee beans...

    Grant's Toy

My dad worked there I think in small appliances and took in big enough to support a family of four... I'm sure the way our Bradford washer was replaced with a BOL Maytag that there must have been a lot of belts and other things replaced there, followed by the rest of the Grant's appliances...

    Home Depot Dryer Installation!! Seriously???

Well my gas dryer came from Lowe's and wasn't really delivered in a Lowe's truck or by either of the two delivery guys in Lowe's uniforms... The old dryer had a copper gas line that they refused to remove and supplied me with this heavy yellow metal apgas fitting instead... Nope, they weren't...

Seven-Segment LED, colors that seem to be in and out of fashion

A lot of automotive dashboards used the drum design... I even saw a drum design time display on a digital clock on an I love Lucy TV show... Wonder why the design wasn't more widely used... I loved our range that had one and a few other ranges with a digital clock I'd seen also had them...
