    I turned on my Furnace

No, but for sure some try it… Take making every motorized vehicle electric and the elimination of natural gas and no longer drilling oil, mining coal and relying on other fossil fuels…

You Tube: Appliance brands to avoid

After you see all those brands listed and for refrigerators (which some admittedly are way to more high-tech than yo do what you buy a fridge for: cool, freeze, keep things cold and your food safe), washers and dryers (including our beloved all-mechanical control-Speed Queen?), then--... --What...

    Maytag Washer Automatic Soak Cycles

I loved my 1992 Maytag’s automatic soak cycle and how you could control how long you could soak your laundry for… It automatically advanced into the regular wash cycle as well… My Kenmore that came with this home had a soak that also automatically advanced or I think you could soak/prewash only...

    I turned on my Furnace

Yes September 6, 2025 at about 6:05 am, I could not stand the cold of the coming winter’s chill! Set at a hearty 74° & judging from the acrid odor coming from a usually cooling HVAC, maybe I need to replace the filter… — Dave

Blackstone Prices from 50 Years Ago

Well, I wonder exactly how long such an underdog did last? Did you pay more for a Maytag that would last significantly longer? How long before Blackstone folded, during to the pressure upon them & other notable contenders by the surging popularity of everyone buying everything Whirlpool and...
