    1972 Kenmore 800 Dryer

Did the dryers also have porcelain tops, or were they painted? This one feels more like paint, but I assumed they were all porcelain on top like the washers. Tag:

    1972 Kenmore 800 Dryer

Full Control Panel. This has a full florescent bulb, rather than a single light bulb like our 70 series. What was the cutoff (either panel-wise, or model-wise) between incandescent and florescent?

    1972 Kenmore 800 Dryer

Here's the new gas dryer. It'll pair with the Gold Kenmore until I get the Gold 80 series dryer from John. It will allow us to run another dryer since we don't have a big enough service panel for more than 2 220 lines. Wes

    Another KitchenAid Dishwasher

Looks like it's in great shape. There are several listings for vintage stuff from this house including a GE Range, and a 1960s(?) TV set. http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/app/1778981067.html

It's been a good week in Ohio! 1 new member of the family + one foster member.

Can you just bring that pink dryer to Cleveland as well? We can't hook up any more electric dryers because our electric panel can't handle any more 220 lines. I'd kill for a pink machine. Wes

How much energy does it take when you use the 110 minute cycle? I guess that's if you're pairing it with a wringer.

I was expecting a 700 series, but I was pleasantly surprised It's a little scuffed and whatnot...but it's 50s (I think) or early 60s? I don't know my early Maytags that well, because Dave rarely talks about them.

But that A610 wouldn't make it a good week, would it? W My new dryer (with a little bit of suspense):

Well, After the Bendix escapade, I found a dryer that I wanted in Fairborn, but it came with a washer. I've been looking for a second dryer to go with the 806 set, because with my hectic work schedule, I tend to have to do laundry all at once on a Sunday, and since it takes about half the time...

    The Bendix Arrives at Home

Excuse my ignorance as to the nature of these, but how did most people drain them? I know they were usually mounted on specific concrete pads, but how were they drained? Is it a pump drain, or gravity drain? The drain hose is deteriorated very badly on mine, so I don't know what the drain...

    Nifty Dryers in Cincinnati

I sent the 80 series dryer guy an email. If Jason wants it, I can hold it for him, or just enjoy the ability to run another dryer (I like having one extra dryer per washer so I can get through laundry quickly) until it finds a mate, or someone else wants it. Wes

    The Bendix Arrives at Home

It's labeled as a model S, and next to the floor there is an aluminum plate that says "111 S 773" Is that decipherable? Wes

I took the back off to see what was in there. It doesn't appear to be overly complicated.
