It’s not too difficult to create a YouTube account, just need to crest a Google account which essentially ties in a YouTube account to it, at least from what I remember.

Lady Kenmore 800 Soft Heat Gas Dryer Start Up

I imagine the ‘drying temperature’ was determined by the load size. Probably tapered down quickly with smaller loads and delicate items, definitely took a good while with towels and bedding.

Lady Kenmore 800 Soft Heat Gas Dryer Start Up

I’ve always wondered how the Soft-Heat modulating gas burners worked on those early 60’s Kenmore gas dryers, have some idea as to how they work, but a video would be able to convey that much, much better. Tried explaining how the modulating burner works to a friend of mine from the UK...

Lady Kenmore 800 Soft Heat Gas Dryer Start Up

There was never a video made or uploaded of a Kenmore soft heat gas dryer with the burner tapering the flame down. Since the since is new and revamped, can easily upload video clips of that.

    Maytag A06 aquisition for rebuild

Don’t think the Maytag DG606 was around in 1977 since the Maytag HOH’s were discontinued in 1976 and were superseded by the Maytag Stream Of Heat in 1976. Unless, it was a 1975 Maytag DG606 or DG806 that was in the dealer’s stock for awhile.

When did Maytag start to go bad?

I kindly beg to differ, the Maytag HOH dries blankets more evenly than the SOH since the SOH has a tendency to ball things up. Since I’ve replaced the thermostats on my Maytag HOH franken dryer, is actually fairly quick and gentle. Even put in a 180F thermostat in for the high limit safety...

When did Maytag start to go bad?

Some people can hem and haw all they want about better performing machines, time usually filters out certain designs which have not stood the test of time. As someone who’s had experience with both the PowerFin and Load Sensor, the PowerFin by far has more aggressive washing action compared to...

    Consumer Reports

I wouldn’t be too surprised if they compared a Whirlpool to a Kenmore back in the 1950’s, claimed one was better than the other despite them being exactly the same mechanically. Though, the Whirlpool Surgilator was a bit more aggressive so I’ll give it that.

    Test driving a '65 Mustang in 1985

I almost got a chance to get a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 with the 289 (may be a little undersized for a larger vehicle), unfortunately the seller flaked and never got to work out a deal and buy it, had air conditioning too.

Why Modern Cars Need Master Switches

Makes me laugh when that happens 😂. It’s soo funny when people claim newer vehicles are better but yet, have more problems and areas where things can fail. If newer vehicles and modern vehicles in general were REALLY that better, anyone who works on cars and vehicles would be out of a job, period.

Why Modern Cars Need Master Switches

There is power assist, just not actually connected to the steering wheel.

Why Modern Cars Need Master Switches

The thing that gets me is steer by wire and brake by wire on the Tesla Cybertruck. While electronics can be made to be very reliable on vehicles, still want the steering wheel and brakes to be physically connected to the master cylinder and steering rack. Throttle by wire is one thing, but brake...

REPOST - When did GE start to go bad?

“When did GE start to go bad” Honestly, they kind of were bad from the get go. Never seemed to ‘get it’ with laundry appliances. Did make good drive motor and other components, though.
