    Clogged filter? Anti static sheets?

I tried the aluminum ball thing in the dryer. I could tell no difference; I think it's just bunk. It didn't damage my clothes, but they compact down to little baseballs that make your dryer sound like you have a pair of shoes in there.

    Clogged filter? Anti static sheets?

I use Snuggle liquid fabric softener in the wash, no sheets in the dryer. I banned softener sheets from ever being used in my dryer. Not only do they coat the filter, they also coat the moisture sensor. Nasty little things.

    NuTone Intercom System

My house, built in 1981, had a NuTone system. The Master had been damaged and didn't work so I regretfully pulled the system out before I knew better. Now I want another one. I just need the master unit and a few satellites; I already have wires run in the walls. I'm jealous of your set, BlueJay!

Drew, you're really on a roll with vacuums! You're right, you must join Vacuumland now, too! Seems the vacuum fairies are smiling on you...

'How Dry I Am' Music Box press release pic from W now on ebay

Thanks, Dave! I also found a couple of other videos posted by AW members on YouTube showing the end of cycle chime. OMG... I wish I had room for a set! LOL! I always loved the styling of those, but now I'm in love.

'How Dry I Am' Music Box press release pic from W now on ebay

Has someone ever posted a video showing one playing the song at the end of the cycle? I would love to hear it. :)

    Any percolator fans out there?

I have my mother's Corning Ware 10 cup electric perk and I love it, too. If I feel like more than one cup of coffee on the weekend, I'll fill it to the 4 cup mark and use it instead of the Keurig. The electrics are nice because you don't have to watch them.

P&G sells soap brands to Unilever

Camay is a very old brand. My grandmother used it and my mom used to use it when I was growing up. I still buy it sometimes when I'm feeling nostalgic for the smell.

    dating a hoover"decade 80"

If you want to date a Hoover Decade 80, I would start by bringing her a bouquet of bags with a card that reads: "You really suck!"   *Ducks and runs...*

A neat thrift store find: the 'roast' of the town...

It's from the early 80's. I have one identical to it, except without the buffet kit. It belonged to my grandmother. :)

    Flash player

I think DADoES was being sarcastic in that the flash Unimatic on the front page is not causing problems... FWIW, I seem to have no problem with Flash, or keeping it updated. But, I have a new desktop that I built myself running Win 7. I believe most of the problems lie with outdated operating...

    C-7 lights in action

I have some vintage C-7 lights, but I'm a bit afraid to put them on my silver tinsel tree (not aluminum, sadly...) because they get so hot. Is the heat they generate not a problem? I have a set of LED C-7 lights on there now, and I hate them. They are the dimmest, most pathetic looking lights...

    1980 Sears Builder Catalog

That dish is Corning Ware Spice O' Life. My mom got that pattern when she got married in 1977. She just gave me the percolator from her set a couple weeks ago. What is grossing me out is the shag carpet in the kitchen. That would be a nightmare.

    Rotary Phone Doorbell

I ran across this on Retro Renovation. A guy has a kickstarter page to develop wireless doorbells that use analog phones as the ring. Too cool! The come in single door or 2 door styles. The 2 door style rings the US ring on one door and the UK ring on the second door. I want one...
