    HELP!!!

I doubt it's ringworm... Or it could be I live in a wooded area, plus there's 200+ acres of woods behind my house, so there's this really annoying fox that i think he fights against , and earlier he had something in a close area of his ear that looked like a claw dug into.

Need help with mercury vapor lamp

This is what I think is what's happening When the lamp first starts, it pulls a lot of power, making the ballast lights very bright. According to the rule of heating elements, as the element gets hotter, resistance decreases. Once the lamp has warmed up, the ballast lamps start cooling down...

Need help with mercury vapor lamp

Hi everyone! Awhile back I got a 175 watt mercury vapor lamp and I tested it out on my rudemrntary ballast (a 25 and a 150 watt incandescent light in series with it) and it worked well, except for the fact it will run obout 5-10 mins and magically turn off. Do I need a proper ballast or is...

Need help with old slide projector.

Hi all! Sorry for the lateness Soon I will hopefully get a lamp that WORKS for once and tell you guys. I have a few slides that are very dark and they will show up much better with a light that: 1. Actually WORKS 2. Is bright enough (kind of common sense haha lol)

Need help with old slide projector.

I didn't hear anything from the seller but they have me a full refund. And the shipping was from USPS, so I don't think it was a shipping fault. Also, the filament break in both was big enough that it looked like it burnt out.

    Dealing With The Nut Jobs

Need help with old slide projector.

@ tolviac Have you seen metal that got very hot? If so, it looks all discolered. That's how these lamps came. The ceramic was dirty, the connection pins were corroded and the boxes were torn up. It is not the shippers fault, they purposefully sent me burnt out bulbs. Filaments on new bulbs...

Need help with old slide projector.

I FELL FOR A SCAM!!! I got two lamps, opened the box and inspected them. Both had a gap in the filament and it was badly discolered. I plugged both in to the projector and you know what happened? A whole bunch of nothing. I feel so stupid now and I will never order off of ebay again

Need help with old slide projector.

DaveTranter: I have also seen 100 watt LEDs and they have a luminous flux of approx 9000 lumens, but you'd need a heatsink so big it wouldn't fit in that tiny enclosure. But I'd probably give the other one a shot. And I'd probably make another enclosure for it so the air would go over the heat...

Need help with old slide projector.

Quick question... If the slide was in there too long, would it melt? Thanks (Due to the heat of the bulb) Also is there one of that type but less wattage?
