Trying to save my vintage family dryer - Frigidaire DEC needs new belt!

And I have found over the years that auto parts stores are a great source for getting replacement belts.

    Found in Tijuana

I would love to add those to my collection! My daughter and son-in-law live in Imperial Beach (San Diego) and are terrified to go across the border, otherwise I’d ask them to get them for me. I don’t have the time to drive from Northern California to get them. Do we have any Mexican...

    Skinny Mini!

So this followed me home yesterday. Haven’t done a test load in it yet. Dryer is missing lint screen. I used to have one of these many years ago. Fun machine! (Sorry about the photo quality — it’s time for me to get a new cell phone!)

    My first Wash-IN

We had a great time catching up and of course did a couple loads of laundry. Still much work to do fixing up the guest house and arranging my collection a little better. All in the hopes of having a more official wash-in next year some time!

    Pittsburgh Wash-In 2022! - June 10-13

I would love to be there as I am a virgin wash-in guy. Never been to one. Unfortunately I have other plans that won’t allow me to attend but am looking forward to pics and vids of this event. If another event happens next year, I will be there come hell or high water (infinite water level...

    Avocado Whirlpools.

Beautiful set! I can’t tell if they are still available and/or where they are located…shipping cost looks extremely low to me. Is anyone going to go after these?

A New Signature Addition Coming Soon!

Signature Arrived — Not so Mint… So my friend delivered my new addition. He had it on a little flatbed trailer and unfortunately didn’t have it secured well enough and it fell off the trailer at 55mph. Thankfully he had it wrapped up in moving blankets so limited damage…except the wringer...

    LK Just Wants to Buzz

You are all too funny! So here’s the scenario: I got this machine (with matching dryer) a few years ago. I was told it didn’t spin. When I plugged it in, it sounded fine, just wouldn’t engage into spin. Upon inspection of the wigwag and cam bar, the bar was bent and the thing that slides...

    LK Just Wants to Buzz

I have a ‘74 Lady K that had a broken wigwag which I recently replaced. Now all I get is buzzing when trying to engage into spin. On top of that, now it only buzzes during the fill cycle (and the water is turned on!). Any ideas?

A New Signature Addition Coming Soon!

A very good friend of mine picked up an early 60s Montgomery Ward Signature wringer washing machine for me, complete with user manual. The machine is in mint condition and will be arriving this Saturday! Photos to follow.

Whirlpool washer not spinning or draining and I'd love to try to get it working!

I had the same problem with my ‘85 Whirlpool and I replaced the wig wag and that took care of the problem.

    POD 3/22/2022 Whirlpool washers pics

So which manufacturer was the first to offer 18-lb capacity and in what year? I want to say Norge was the first but I’m partial..!

    Older Speed Queen Set

So my early ‘80s Amana set looks very similar. Were Speed Queen and Amana affiliated in any way then?

    Today’s POD 03/18/22

I’ve seen this Westinghouse washer ad before, but never noticed that the two cycles both have two rinses — not offering it as an option for a second rinse like most other machines. Not only adding time to the cycle, but here in the drought-stricken West, I shudder to think how much water it...
