Whirlpool Set gets My Vote I would go with the Whirlpool set as it is more interesting to watch it perform and its repair history is better than GE's. I am betting that this set was made in the mid 1980's and they were rated higher in performance than the GE's. Doug

Maybe a Glass Washer? I would use it as a glass washer and maybe light breakfast or lunch dishes. The machine can't be that bad. Maybe the filter can be made to filter the water so the waste doesn't get washed back onto the dishes. Doug

I am sure that this error was pointed out before, but if you look closely at today's ad, the bottom rack of this dishwasher has the bowls pointed outward, and not inward toward the spray action. If you tried it, you would see that it would't get those items clean. Doug

I would say that machine was from the mid to late 70's. Nothing special but got the job done. For the price if you had the washer to match it, I would say get it. But if you are going vintage go with whirlpool/kenmore or ge/hotpoint as the the parts are more widely available. Doug
