Love my Hoover! Not sure of the exact vintage…guessing early 70s? Works like a charm and can’t believe the amazing washing action and spin water extraction! Really fun to play with and gets things really clean!

Beautiful set — don’t let go of them! From the photos of the washer leak, looks like the hose needs a new clamp and/or hose replacement. As regards the dryer, sounds like a switch problem? Others will chime in, I’m sure. Wanted to share photos of my ‘Tag set…great machines and they are tanks!

I agree with Lawrence…it looks like a pump issue to me. My GE tends to throw water into the bleach dispenser and filter flume on full load spins, but it quickly gets pumped out.

Ozzie908, I did just that on an earlier iteration of a Wards Signature dryer that blew air/lint out the door. I added weatherstripping around the door seal and that helped. Sometimes the air flow would be too much and it would push the door open..!

And this was the Norge set I lost in the wildfire in 2015. The dryer had the “stop ‘n dry” feature but was missing the rack. It was an auto dry model and definitely was a tank!

Here are photos of my Wards Signature set. Not a true matching pair, but pretty close. The dryer had sat outside on a farm for a few years so the control panel is pretty hard to read, but the dryer works like a dream. Yes, as mentioned earlier, they tend to blow lint out into the room because...

Or just take the existing hose to an auto repair store or home improvement store and they can usually find something that will work…

Too funny — once the suds have gone more than halfway up the glass window, there’s not much one can do..!

What it’s worth is a matter of opinion. I purchased a similar machine a year ago and paid $100.

Thank you Ben, for the technical info on the how the filter works. Fascinating! More effective than Norge/Wards design but yes, probably prone to clogging, etc.

Please Remind Me Again... I am fascinated by the “burp up” filter but it’s not like a Norge/Wards that only works with one agitator stroke. How did Hotpoint manage the constant filtering?

And it is a Dream Machine!!! You will love that machine. As I said in an earlier thread, I have the same model and love the flexibility of wash/spin speed cycles. And of course the beguiling loud sounds it makes is heavenly, not to mention superior lint extraction and cleaning power! Cheers...

Awesome Wards Washer! I have the exact same model. Love the “pre spot” function! Great machine and love the full array of agitation and spin speed options.

And what brand was that DW in one of the very first episodes of “Bewitched?” I always thought manufacturers ditched the windows because seeing food particles splattered around isn’t all that appealing..?
