Mile 1215 worth it in the end? Hello new W1

Already gone. I'm happy to see some capabilities and bummed others seem to be gone. I knew with only 110V and like 20 amps I wouldn't be getting really hot water really fast. Just spinning full speed will speed up my whole scenario dramatically- I was coming out of the washer with a full...

Mile 1215 worth it in the end? Hello new W1

I say goodbye to my old friend the Miele W1215 and make room for a new W1. I have mixed emotions about this. I did NOT get 20 years out of the unit, it's leaving not quite at just under 14 years so significantly less. I DID get approx 11K cycles out of it or approx 11K hours of use. I had...

Washing shoes in a W11xx/12xx Miele

Had a shoe tear off the upper lip of the seal - no problem with selling but the little tab that helped you determine load was a goner. Now I stretch old socks over shoes and throw a towel or 2 in the load. Never had a problem since..

Which FL Washer Has Highest Temperature Boost Heater?

Pretty sure you'll find the miele's will attain and sustain a hotter temp than anything on the market today- 194 Sustaining is the trick as hot water from a tank starts cooling on its way to the washer - we do a load per day of filthy animal towels used for dog grooming on hot 60C (140f - the...

    Miele 1215T / 1405 12 year update.

Another Miele update! Had another failure of the cold water inlet solenoid at 10946 cycles. Well it was getting flaky but not yet totally failed I made the call to my trusty Miele guy Alex. Seems that is the weakest link in this machine and good for " about " 5500 cycles. It has three to...

question on sanitize cycle on washers

One benefit is that a washer with a true sanitize cycle can typically sustain 60C which is the temp needed for killing pathogens. Without the ability to heat to this level one must use bleach to kill the germs which is quite hard on the material vs hot water. Wife is a pet groomer and we...

    Meet our new Miele W1!

With all the different detergents I use from load to load, from what I can see the auto dosing units wouldnt work as well for me as a regular unit with a drawer. Cool and easy if you use the same detergent a lot, but otherwise purging and cleaning lines to go from one to the other with...

Need a good used 50 pounder, what's my best bet?

I own a boat shop and need to be able to wash covers. Anything like this in a soft mount? Internal heater a plus. What are some solid used units I should I be looking at? I dont know the used commercial market to know whats reliable best for parts, etc... Thanks Uncle Dave

    Con Rpts said what?

Wether one is" running out of water" or not is wholly dependent on where you live. We pay an awful lot for water in Southern California. We nearly depleted the Sierra system last year and were lucky to have the first wet season in a decade fill everything up. The water municipalities...

    Miele W4840

animal hair and my miele 1215 Wife's a full time mobile groomer and I do 1 full towels load per day of furred up and soiled towels. I have way more hair to deal with than anyone not in the animal business. My 1215 handles it perfectly. The hair really comes off in the dryer where the...

SCORE! Finally found a used PW6065

Thanks Chris! Ill send you a private mail to send that PDF to. The love of Schulthess I get, never seen a commercial electrolux machine and am not too impressed with their home lineup. Curious about what you like about it, and where I could go to take a look? Im looking for a 40-ish pound...

    Need new washer. Please advise.

You have cheap and premium versions of both types. The premium 220V front loaders offer features the cheapies can't touch. I never once put small items in a bag in my Miele 1215 to protect them from loss. I have for DW's bras and other items I wanted to limit the movement of - but never to...

You mean a 2x plug one each for the washer and dryer right? the was he ron has one. Correct most American homes only have one 220 receptacle for the dryer and have to pull in another 220 line.

The guy knew what he had but needed to let it go. He nearly cried when I drove away with it. This will join my W1215 as a redundant/ backup unit. Its at my shop now being tested in various modes. Machine is really about the same size as my 1215 I think it may be a tiny bit larger Miele...
