I generally use my DD on the slower setting for anything that is not too bulky or heavy. Works good and the clothes get clean, what more could i really ask. Would like to have a Speed Queen though....just because it has that Surgilatoresque agi in it.

i just finished watching your video of the 1960s Whirlpool washer...surgilator agitators were definitely an agitator that caused turbulance...hence the name. I still love the way the basket rocks as it did in the video towards the end. I miss that s&&t! Thank you.

Thanks to you tube...i miss how powerful these WP/KM agitators were... and i do mean the original straight vanes and surgilators were.

I think the huge straight vanes would have no problem,...on top of that any surgilator...talk about tidal wave washing!

HOW COOL!!!...This was the first automatic my parents had in the early sixties. This is the machine that started the whole fascination for me. This i take it has the original straight vane agitator.

whirly/kenmore agitators Great video!! IMHO, i think WP/KM agitators were the best oscillating agitators of any maker. I think my two favorites are the original versions of the straight vane and surgilator.

That Corning range was pretty cool,...anyone know who produced it?

The machines were very much like KA,..yes i know WP already had KA at the time,late 80's, but after the early 90's they just dissapeared. Were in sink erator machines around before the WP aquisition of KA?

Somebody here i am sure knows this,..i remember consumer reports sometime in the early or mid ninties, showed these agitators in a washer report and basically saying that the five vane agitators that wci was using were better for washing. Personally i think they all suck. What a joke double...

These pc machines have been on the market awhile now. Parts should be available for awhile i would think. I wish i was in a better position to stock up on parts. The portables that are left ; do these machines still use that system?

Hi everyone, been away for quite awhile..but am finally back online. Formerly known as agiflow.I missed this community. I never thought the day would come when sears would use another company to produce their TOL washers other than WP. I guess it all comes down to the bottom line.
