    GE Dreams

Tragedy It is tragic that this stuff will go to the crusher on Tuesday. Maybe someone will reach out and let these folks know what a rare find they have, and that it acutally makes their house more valuable. Of course, their reality is that this is just 60 year old junk. New appliances and...

    A Minnesota-Northland Wash In

Great Time Looks like everyone had fun. All it takes is a couple of phone calls among friends. Golittlesport demo'd his Frigidaire for Filter Flo and I last week at his place. We had a great time. MK in LBC

    West Coast Washin (wash-in)

Thanks for the very kind words! Hi everyone, Thanks for the kind words. This garage project has been a dream for a long time and now it is real. To answer the questions posted: 1. Yes, it is a 1967 Country Squire and it does have the rear jump seats ala 10 passenger (6 adults, 4 kids crammed...

    West Coast Washin (wash-in)

Hi everyone, My new garage, game room, washing machine room is done so had the grand opening on 2/5. Filter Flo and Golittlesport were there, along with some non-members who are in other appliance clubs (vacuums) and car club folk. The pictures show using the now working 67 LK, which Jimmy was...

GE Fabric Softener Dispensers on the 'bay

Don't Stop The SPIN! I have fabric dispensers for my two GE washers, and I am bidding on these as they are NOS, and I will share if I win. When using these, you cannot stop the spin cycle. If you do, the softener drops into the filter flo pan and then the wash basket and will be lost out the...

    Seeburg Jukebox a 46 and a 47!!!!

Seeburgs Hi, I collect jukeboxes also. The Seeburg "trashcans" were produced in 46, 47 and 48. Seeburg set the juke world on it side, literally, when they released the M100A in 1949 which played 50 78rpm records, 10" or 12" intermixed with an amazing 100 selections (it could play the B sides)...

    Shopping for a new classic

See my post in super Hi, See my post on a recent leak in the Super section. The leak is fixable and a V16 set is too nice to just junk. I hope you can find a way to get that set out of the house. Offer them some money, or get them a gift certificate to Sears in exchange for the set. I hope...

1994 GE Filter Flo has it's first breakdown

My new laundry room is shaping up and I have had my 3 sets of machines set up and hooked up for the last few weeks (see my profile for details). Last Friday, I encountered horror of horrors when my newest washer started spilling water all over my new floor. Thanks to Jimmy in Ohio, he steered...

compressors and dual compressors on an old AC ??

Moving heat (energy) Good afternoon, I have extensive experience with automotive A/C and can at least explain the basic theory of operation: The system is based on energy transfer during state change, from a gas to a liquid and from a liquid to a gas. Compessors only pump gas as it is...

    K-Mart + Sears Merger

How did they do it Hey folks, K-Mart was able to buy Sears because while in bankruptcy, they sold lots of stores: read that they sold lots of real estate. This gave them the cash to buy Sears. Forecasts for their future are all over the map with many saying it only extends their life a few...

    Filter Flo on ebay

Looks like an 80's GE Filter Flo in nice condition on ebay. No mini basket or mini basket setting from what I can see on the control panel. Truly a good workhorse and probably cheap to boot if you are close by. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=71256&item=3851698499&rd=1

has any one seen this new rca relel-to reel cd system?

I collect R to R tapes and primarily use a Pioneer RT909 to play back and record with, though I am restoring a Voice of Music unit in one of my GE consoles. On my RT909, a 10" 3600 ft reel lasts 90 mins per side at 7.5 ips. That is 3 hours total forward and reverse playback. 6 hours at 3.75 ips...
