After Katrina, I had to store some machines in my dad's workshop ... then life got in the way. After a long sleep, its time to wake some of the girls up.

AAAhhhh ... All is good in the laundry room tonight!! Got the machines in and hooked up with my first washload pulsating away. I didn't realize how much I missed Water and suds ... that went away when I got the LGs. Now, the avocado set is safe and sound!!!

My dryer Is the electric model ... hope she runs for a long time ... or I will never hear the end of it from my partner. The people who bought my LG set were quite surprised to see what they were being replaced with. Now, I finally got my "water hog" back in the house!

Let me rephrase that ... finally convinced my partner (after 6 years of us) that the LG front loaders need to go (they went today). Now, after many trade-offs at home, I finally will have the Avocado Frigidaire 1-18 set back as my daily drivers. Nothing like some long-overdue pulsating!!!!!!!

I Might Let me check my miscellaneous box of parts ... I know that I have some dryer parts for 1-18s

As I begin the process of downsizing, I find that I won't be able to hold onto the laundry clocks. Placing them here first, before I put them on ebay. more pics are available. They light up and work, but have some cracks. Thanks.

Its an interesting machine The top half of the agitator does not move. All of the wash action comes from the bottom half of the agitator, which is a spinning flapper. I am still in the process of cleaning mine up before I take some pics.

I always love this Frigidaire advertisement! One question I have always had ... they don't give a capacity amount for the agi-tub machines. What was supposed to be its recommended capacity? Thanks.

Yes, the nutation is correct and the regular spin part of the cycle is correct, but the basket does move "sympathetically" in the direction of the nutation. I can reach in and hold it still ... washes fine as long as I am holding the basket still. Started looking at the brake on those tech...

The machine is nutating, but as it does, the movement of the clothes and the wash plate makes the tub start turning .. it ends up spinning (at a fairly decent speed) while it nutates.
