Let me tell you all the story of a charming 1956 Norge TIMELINE automatic washing machine that lasted some 52 years in fine working order- then along came the LAUNDRY FAIRY--and approximately 52 years, and ONE WEEK later, LADY TIMELINE was dead! (NO, not the timer this time) Some months later...

I'm fascinated with this machine--WHOEVER built it! Is there a way to trick it to fill-up with more water (like I did on my HARMONY) or is it purely "automatic"? I know on the HARMONY, the THROW-RUG cycle fills up. Does it have a BULKY/THROW-RUG type cycle? How does it wash? Does it knot things up?

Actually, Matthew the ticking isn't that loud-The camcorder magnified the sound-but it CAN be annoying-although I've learned to tune it out.

With that one difference in mind, they sure look the same to me!

Oh, and another thing--at one point Laundry Fairy had her head stuck SO FAR into the wash tub of The Chairman during the SPIN cycle, I thought she was about to be decapitated! She liked the smell of the Chinese Tide!

Terry, I think you already know about the Wicked Wizard! And yes, I'm sure Laundry Fairy will be piping in soon! She wasn't allowed to put PHOSPHATES in my machine, and there's no manual timer (MUCH to her dismay) on it, either!

I'm still finding the TL listed as $239.00 and $98.00 shipping on www.RAINBOWAPPLIANCE.com in Bisque. I see it listed as $100.00 more in white.

Any similarity in cabinet design on the CHAIRMAN and the NEPTUNE TL?
